Introduction:
This module is designed to make participants better Project Managers and Team Members by exposing them to an integrated approach to Project Management. It is designed to develop the basic knowledge needed to manage projects effectively. Comprehensive sections including sample questions on each topic are covered. Discussions on assignments, homework and plan for post course studies.

Although this is a training course; the course is structured for application-oriented understanding of Project Management as a discipline and not for BOOKISH understanding of concepts.

The Agile Way of Leading Projects to SUCCESS (2 Days)

Introduction:

This module is designed to make participants effective Agile team members / leaders by exposing them to an integrated approach to Agile Project Management. It is designed to develop the knowledge & skills needed to manage projects effectively using agile and hybrid project management approaches. Comprehensive sections including sample questions on each topic are covered. Discussions on assignments, homework and plan for post course studies.
Although this is a training course; the course is structured for application-oriented understanding of Agile Project Management as a discipline and not for BOOKISH understanding of Agile concepts. That is, the course helps the participants in BEING Agile and not only DOING Agile.
This course takes participants through a comprehensive agile development lifecycle and has lots of hands-on exercises for clear conceptual understanding.

Effective Use of Microsoft Project for Project Success (MSP - 2 days)

Introduction:
This module is designed to make participants comfortable & confident in using Microsoft® Project. It is not only learning the tool but also learning “Exploiting” the tool to suit the project needs. It will aid in understanding the logic behind using the tool. Also effectively using MS Project in Project Management is an important part of this module.

Although this is a training course; the course is structured for application-oriented understanding of Microsoft® Project as tool and not for BOOKISH understanding of concepts.

Learning Objective:

  1. Establish a common vocabulary and understanding of basic Project Management terms and concepts such as Project, Project Management & Operations etc.
  2. Gain a sound understanding of the Microsoft® Project program.
  3. Understanding in PM environment where tools can help a project manager
  4. Understanding what tools can and can’t do.
  5. Learn the use and significance of various views, tables and reports.
  6. Develop easy to track project schedule.
  7. Track and analyze schedule progress by different methods.
  8. Customizing MS Project and Reporting using MS Project.
  9. Read and review the project schedule.
  10. Schedule developing and tracking checklists will be given to the participants. The checklists are prepared considering practical situations.
  11. Managing Multi-project i.e. a program scenario using MS Project.
  12. Discussion on concept of Buffer Management using MS Project.

  • For online MSP sessions: At-least 15 machines. Assuming 15 participants will be present. Ideally each participant should have a separate machine. If not possible, not more than 2 people should share the machine to maintain the effectiveness of the program. LCD and a Machine to the trainer faculty. All the machines should be installed with MS Project & MS Office. Presentation arrangements.
